We have an immediate opening at our 8333 Naab Road Location for a Referral Coordinator. This position is responsible for verification of insurance benefits and authorization/pre-certification for all tests, surgeries and patient visits requiring authorization.
- Obtain required referrals and pre-authorizations for all scheduled appointments, procedures and tests
- Obtain benefit verification for all Goodman Campbell procedures
- Notify Medical Administrative Assistant when procedure is not covered by insurance
- Document authorization obtained and benefits verified
- Update incorrect insurance & demographic information as corrections are found in referral process
- Assist Centralized Scheduling Secretary as needed
|Qualifications:||Good customer service and computer & internet navigation skills required. Must have excellent work habits and communication skills and be able to work independently. Knowledge of basic medical terminology, medical insurance, and previous medical office experience needed. |
